Prof. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad held an extensive meeting with the director of the dormitories Dr. Omar Faleh Hassan, his assistant Zainab Sahib and the advanced administrative and technical staff to discuss the latest preparations made for receiving the graduate and postgraduate students at the onset of the current academic year (2020-2021). Also the rector directed to prepare all necessary requirements for the housing of 900 students who have been admitted recently despite the current financial crisis and the exceptional circumstances imposed by Corona pandemic, stressing that the university will provide all support required to overcome the accumulated problems that hindered the work and he expressed his appreciation for the outstanding efforts and accomplishments done during the past two months without paying any additional costs.

Dr. Omar Faleh presented a plan for accelerating work to prepare enough rooms to accommodate students according the social distancing principles and to provide a healthy and peaceful environment for students at al-Nasr student complex, as well as the inauguration of two other residences al-Jadriya complex and the veterinary medicine complex in coordination with the housing division. At the conclusion of this meeting, it was agreed upon preventing any gathering in rooms as well as rejecting all requests for temporary housing within the framework of the instructions of the crisis cell formed during the Coronavirus pandemic, in addition to the sterilization of study halls weekly.
