Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid Al Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad confirmed the completion of all preparations for the integrated education at the onset of the new academic year during an interview with Al-Sharqiya TV channel. He asserted the setup of electronic platforms for the management of the educational process for graduate and postgraduate studies in conjunction with the coronavirus pandemic.

Al-Saadi stated that the university has completed 180 training programs for 3800 professors on how to administrate online learning procedures where a systematic guide was prepared for both professors and students that highlights study schedules and timelines of classroom lessons, taking into account safety conditions and social divergence & sanitizing campaigns organized periodically.

The rector then talked about the expansion of postgraduate studies made this year according to the instructions of the ministry of higher education and scientific study where 4,000 students were admitted in higher diplomas, master and doctorate studies that was followed by two more expansion plans for the admission of 962 students where the total expansion rate reached 30%, excluding the expats. It is noteworthy that the University of Baghdad has opened up to international platforms through participation in global virtual conferences and workshops, as well as publishing research in well-known international repositories.
