Four students from the department of petroleum engineering at the University of Baghdad have participated in the BP Young Adventurers programme funded by the British Petroleum Company, set up in Fujairah, UAE.

This initiative is one of adventure training camps that have been held annually since 2000. Each is facilitated by a team of mentors, known as the BP Guardians, who have previously graduated from with the aim at honing the skills of young people in the Gulf region. The participants were divided into three teams, each comprising female students from various Gulf universities who competed in rowing, cycling and climbing championships.
