Dr. Ammar Hikmat, a professor at the college of Islamic sciences has participated recently in training two groups of young people in cooperation with the International Association for Human Values (IAHV) responsible for the implementation of the (Integration of Conflict-Affected Iraqi Youth Program) sponsored by the World Bank grant and the Japanese Fund under the supervision of the ministry of youth and sports to train 1,000 young men and women in life skills, psychological support & youth empowerment initiatives.

Dr. Ammar Hikmat chaired several workshops on community development for young people and peace-building activities ,asserting the positive implications of such programs for Iraqi youth, targeting more than 1,000 affected young people at Sadr City, Abu Ghraib, Ameriya and neighborhoods who are out of school, having social and financial problems in order to support them in many areas and provide them with employment opportunities.
