Dr. Alaa Karim Mohammed, a professor at the department of biochemistry received an award at the celebration of the Iraqi Science Day for his patent entitled (Production of industrial silk from palm fronds) as part of the annual ceremony organized by the Department of Research and Development at the ministry of higher education and scientific research.
The ceremony highlighted the distinctive role of the scientific research movement in Iraq and honored the efforts exerted by creative professors in all disciplines. For his part, the dean of the college, Assist. Prof. Dr. Maher Yahya Salloum congratulated the honored faculty for their scientific achievements and expertise in applied sciences which will in turn contribute to the service of our community and provide perceptions for further research.
