Baghdad Science Journal published by the college of science for women gained recently the membership of the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA) which is a non-profit trade association representing the interests of open access journal publishers globally in all scientific, technical and scholarly disciplines. This achievement came as a result of being a unique Iraqi journal publishing research in Arabic and English in various disciplines, including biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics and computer science.

It is noteworthy that this quarterly scientific journal was first issued in 2004 and it has published (70) papers between 2004 and 2019 registered in Scopus & Clarivate Analytics in alignment with the government program adopted by the ministry of higher education and scientific research for assessing journal credibility.
