The college of pharmacy organized recently an extensive symposium on pharmaceutical education with the participation of professors and deans of pharmacy colleges in USA and a number of Arab countries. In its first event, the attendants discussed the mechanisms of e-learning and how to invest technology for student-professor communication as well as how to improve the student’s ability in academic writing in English.

It is noteworthy that the symposium also dealt with the annual evaluation of professors and how to assess the credibility of pharmaceutical journals and recommended carrying out field visits for at least two years for the colleges of pharmacy in Iraq to keep abreast with all aspects required to obtain the global reliability of Iraqi journals.
