The Solar Wind Sherpas which is an intrepid team of international scientists and explorers who travel the world to observe and collect data on total solar eclipses (TSEs) has re-released images of the stages of preparation and monitoring of the solar eclipse documented on March 15, 2015 by Dr. Duraid Al-Shukarji, a professor from the college of science who was at that time a doctoral student along with Prof. Peter Thomas Gallagher of the University of Dublin and a researcher in the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

This process was carried out by a private jet from an altitude of 13,000 feet above the Atlantic Ocean and off the coast of Iceland near the Arctic in a flight that lasted for seven hours from Dublin, ireland accompanied by three reporters and professional photographers.
