The presidency of the University of Baghdad represented by its rector Prof. Dr. Munir Hameed al-Saadi mourns the late Prof. Dr. Aladdin Al-Khalidi who died at the age of 97 and was the first Iraqi scientist to obtain a doctorate in pharmacology.

Dr. Aladdin Al-Khalidi was born in 1923, served as head of the medicine branch at the college of medicine and founded the first center of toxicology in Iraq and the Middle East, having many distinguished scientific and medical activities, including conducting research and medical studies, supervising MA students, as well as publishing nearly twenty researches in medical fields. Dr. Munir Al-Saadi expressed his sincere condolences and sadness at the loss of Dr. Aladdin Al-Khalidi who had an unforgettable fingerprint in the field of medicine among his students and colleagues.
