Baghdad University Council resolutions – 10th session (2016)

Tenth session

Directives of the president of the council:

I: Direct all formations’ boards to choose members in order to discuss graduate students from universities with expertise and efficiency audits formation before approval at Faculty Council.

II: President Associate for scientific affairs is commissioned to:

A. Follow-up and commission one of professors to attend the postgraduate discussion and report on the State of the debate in General without any comment or share in his presence.

B. Directing the central scientific promotions committee at the university to make tours at university formations for the purpose of pursuing scientific promotions committees Subcommittee in all formations and seminars to explain the mechanisms of scientific promotions committees and instructions for upgrades.

C. Follow up the subject of the electronic governance.

D. Submit a study to the colleges for any new instructions on initial studies.

E. Reassessment of both the center for women, Ibn Sina Centre and the educational and psychological research center along with assessment of research units.

III: Commissioning the dean of the faculty of administration and economics to provide a study on the economic situation in the country which includes developing solutions and alternatives for economic resources and submit proposals and recommendations to the University Council.

IV: Directing the deans to approve study leave for researchers in accordance with the actual need and rare specialties.

V: Directing the deans to update academic curricula for primary and higher studies in accordance with the requirements of the market develops efficient alumnus and give him a chance to work and competition.

VI: Directing the director of quality assurance and university performance department to continue his communication with all formations and to provide ongoing analysis of the results of educational process at University formations.

1. Scientific promotions to professorship:

The council considered a note by the Central Committee of scientific promotions in whole number 162 dated 21/12/2015, contained the recommendation of the Committee on scientific University Central upgrades taken fourth meeting held on 13 October 2015, on upgrading the lecturers selves listed below to the professorship, completing the scientific upgrade requirements in terms of originality in their research and University Service:

After the debate, the council adopted resolution:

Resolution

1. Approve the upgrade of those listed above to professorship according to effective dates mentioned about name them all for completing upgrade requirements in terms of originality in their research and service life of the University on any financial implications before the adoption of this campus.

2. The central promotions committee at the university would submit the name of (Dr. Sawsan Majid Ali Akbar)/faculty of science to media and public relations department at the university, for the purpose of publication and highlight the upgraded versions of the University for submitting (five) papers.

3. Congratulating those listed above for receiving the title of professorship.
