Baghdad University Council resolutions – 2nd session
Second session
I: Direct the deans to provide feedback and objections about postgraduate admission results that found as quickly as possible to graduate at the University Presidency to ordering campus.
II: Direct the deans of colleges to reduce graduate school extensions and extension according to the real need and provides the rationale for an extension with extension requests are sent by a suitable period for appropriate action.
III: Pursue postgraduate study by Deans of graduate Division profiles identified through monthly form for graduate students.
IV: Commitment to uniforms and guide and direct students.
V: Official start date of commitment to our students on 22/9/2014 within academic calendar and start giving lectures and laboratory work to finish the course.
VI: Update curriculum applied for graduate students to serve after graduation.
VII: Emphasis on scientific committees of the League formations promotions secret names of external evaluators to research scientific research can be sent promotions to faculty outside of naming living by them according to jurisdiction.
VIII: Direct the deans to follow-up the work of the research units in their deployment and provide an annual report on its activity so that these programs research units must be in service of the labor market.
IX: Development of teaching resources in collections of scientific titles campaign (Assistant Professor, instructor) to raise the scientific level of the University and increase the scientific contents.
X: Direct the deans to form committees of associate deans and a number of the lecturers of the consideration of requests for return students dismissed their chains to study before submission to the Committee of the Council of the University for consideration with the full scholastic biography for students involved.
Abolition of the penalty made towards (m. m. Ali Hafidh Abbas)/Faculty of science:
The council considered a note by the Legal Affairs Department number 2371 dated 20/8/2014 on a science book number o/104 of 8/10/2014 containing the request by (m. m. to keep Abbas)/teaching attributed to College above purports to abolish death penalty imposed right under the University’s number 3619 of 26/09/2007 and between the section as follows: Cancellation of the penalty for the aforementioned teaching to abolish conditions stipulated in article (21/II) of the Act on discipline of public servants and the public sector (14) of 1991 amending and obtaining a book acknowledgement from Mr. Rector under the numbered command u p/2192 dated 4/6/2014 on that foot granted to instruction.
Resolution
Approval of the abolition of the death penalty (Hoo) levied against (m. m. to keep Abbas)/teaching staff at the Faculty of science and to abolish conditions stipulated in article (21/II) of the Act on discipline of public servants and the public sector (14) of 1991 amending and obtaining a book acknowledgement of Mr. President.
Mechanism of cooperation/approval of postgraduate students’ researches/Faculty of engineering:
The council considered the books numbered engineering q/263, 274, 281, 282, 283, 284, 285 in 7, 18, 23/09/2014, on the recommendations of the Committee for the cooperation mechanism for approval of graduate student research contained in the minutes of the 11th and 18th and 1st 5/2 and 18/6 and 4/9/2014 contained adoption of researches of:
1. A master student (Ahmed Nuri Ghani)/oil Engineering Department with the Ministry of oil
2. A master student (Elaf Qasim Attiyah)/Chemical Engineering Department with petroleum research and Development Center/Ministry of oil.
3. A master student (Abbas Hussein Hojeij)/mechanical engineering department with renewable energies/Ministry of science and technology.
4. A master student (Marwa Ghazi Kareem)/mechanical engineering department with foreign refineries/ Diwaniyah refinery.
5. A master student (Hadeel Basim Hilal)/mechanical engineering/research and Development Center/Ministry of oil.
6. A master student (Shaimaa Abdul Khidir Hamza)/mechanical engineering department with renewable energies/Ministry of science and technology.
7. A master student (Mohammed Abdul Hassan Abd)/mechanical engineering department with planning and monitoring service/Ministry of science and technology. Based on the cooperation mechanism help Ministry of higher education and research with relevant ministries and non-related Ministry (160) for 2009, after the debate, the council adopted resolution:

Approval of the recommendations of the Commission of the cooperation mechanism in Faculty of engineering graduate research recognition listed in sequence (1-7) above, based on the collaboration mechanism help Ministry of higher education and research with relevant ministries and non-related Ministry (160) for 2009.
11. Mechanism of cooperation/Faculty of medicine:
The council considered a note of Scientific Affairs section 797 numbered 17/9/2014 on the recommendation of the Committee for medical cooperation mechanism included approval of Dr. (khawla Ahmed Abdul Latif) with the ministry of industry and minerals to work as a consultant at Ibn Al-Bitar Research Centre, based on the collaboration mechanism help Ministry of higher education and scientific research with relevant ministries and non-related ministry (160) for 2009.
