The Loyalty Day – To be Loyal to Science and Independence

    The University of Baghdad participated with the students the celebrations of the Loyalty day expressing its delight and pleasant with the independence and sovereignty of Iraq, where Dr. Musa Jawad al-Moussawi, President of the University delivered speech in which he expressed the happiness for the participation of university occasions and the community of the Loyalty day and the Iraqis triumph of political independence and the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq, he also expressed his happiness with the participation of students, which will be the fulfillment of knowledge, independence and progress of our beloved homeland. The President of the University also urged students for scientific research and study in order to obtain the highest scientific levels.

   Dr. Bahaa To’ma Jiyad attended the ceremony with a great group of university students carrying Iraqi flags and emblems of national patriotism ,they also submitted songs and poems in love of the country and its soil and unity. Ali Abdul Zahra a student from the college of Media delivered a poem in which he expressed the national unity of the Iraqi people.Another student from the college of Media , Mustafa Flaih also delivered a speech that reinforced the happiness of the students of the leaving of the occupying forces from the homeland, and then the students initiated to submit a showing performance in the courtyard of the University of Baghdad, they raised the Iraqi flag as they are tall shoulder to shoulder ,tightly structured to rise the Iraqi flag in the skies of Baghdad University, they also explained in their continuous chanting the rejection of sectarianism and cohesion of the society of Iraq and its territory, refusing any project that tries to undermine Iraq or the division of its territory.



   Satellite television channels and the audio-visual media have focused on this important occasion, and covered and aired on satellite television channels and the mass media.
