Directives of the Council Chairman
I. Commitment to the instructions of the minister concerning uniform.
II. Commitment to study hours for students and teaching staff at our University for the academic year (2013/2014) and urging employees to adhere to the formal lecture time, especially the first class.
III: Maintain public money and not to waste it to the public good.
IV: Adoption of the general specialization university when granting the university degree to professors who ask to extend their service according to the university book.
Then the council considered issues on its agenda and took appropriate decisions as follows:
The council considered a note by the Scientific Affairs Department No. 682, dated 19/9/2013 concerning the recommendation of the council of the college of physical education taken in it 1st session, held on 10/9/2013, approving awarding the title of a tenured professor to Professor Dr. Thafer Hashim Ismail/ college of physical education/department of theoretical science, where the department checked the nomination form and it’s identical to the instructions No. 161, 2010 in this regard and after the debate, the council adopted this resolution:
Approval of awarding the title of a tenured professor to Prof. Dr. Thafer Hashim Ismail/college of physical education/department of theoretical science, where the department checked the nomination form and it’s identical to the instructions No. 161, 2010.
The council considered the book issued by the faculty of engineering No. o. d/34 of 22/10/2013, on the recommendations of the commission taken in the 15th meeting of the faculty council mentioned above held on 27/3/2013 concerning the approval of a doctoral student’s research (Hussein Bassim Ulaiwi)/Chemical Engineering Department with the Ministry of industry/industrial research and development corporation/legal department/contract Division, based on the collaboration mechanism between the ministry of higher education and scientific research with relevant and non-related ministries, No.160, 2009 and after the debate, the council adopted this resolution:
Approval of a doctoral research submitted by the student (Hussein Bassim Ulaiwi)/Chemical Engineering Department with the Ministry of industry/industrial research and development corporation/legal department/contract Division, based on the collaboration mechanism between the ministry of higher education and scientific research with relevant and non-related ministries, No.160, 2009 provided that this doesn’t conflict with the controls and the instruction on supervision of postgraduate students.

Based on article (4) of the instructions of the mechanism of cooperation between the ministry of higher education and research and relevant or non-related ministry, No.160, 2009, the council adopted this resolution:
Approval of the nomination of professors listed above to give lectures for one day a week to officers and employees at the Ministry of Interior/General Directorate to combat terrorism/security and social guidance Directorate based on article (4) of the instructions of the mechanism of cooperation between the ministry of higher education and research and relevant or non-related ministry, No.160, 2009.
The council considered the book of the university council No. 40 o/6653, 23/10/2013 on the recommendation of the council of Al-Khwarizmi college of engineering in its 3rd meeting held in 1/10/2013 that included the approval of the research of the student (Farouq Fawzi Ahmed) with the ministry of science and technology/department of renewable energies based on the cooperation mechanism between the ministry of higher education and scientific research and relevant and non-related ministries, No.160, 2009 and after the debate, the council adopted this resolution:
Approval of the research submitted by the student (Farouq Fawzi Ahmad) with the Ministry of science and Technology/Department of renewable energies based on cooperation mechanism between the ministry of higher education and scientific research and relevant and non-related ministries, No.160, 2009 provided that this doesn’t conflict with the controls and instructions of supervision of postgraduate students.
The council considered the University Council book number 39 o/18985 of 21/10/2013 on the recommendation of the council of the faculty of science for women in its 3rd meeting held on 9/10/2012, article (4/fifth/postgraduate studies) that included approval of the PhD research submitted by the student (Iqbal Salman Mohammed) for his research with the ministry of environment entitled (remove of some organic pollutants from water analyses by using Iraqi and modified clays) based on the instructions of the cooperation mechanism of the ministry of higher education and scientific research with relevant and non-related ministries, No.160, 2009 and after the debate, the council adopted this resolution:
