Virtual Libraries the center of Academic Debate in Al-Khawarizmi Engineering College

    Al-Khawarizmi Engineering College organized a scientific developmental symposium about (virtual libraries, databases, and international publishing houses) in collaboration with the Department of Research and Development in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

    The researcher (Feryar Fatemi) manager of sales and marketing at the international company for computer networks submitted a scientific lecture highlighted the importance of virtual libraries and global databases. Concerning the Iraqi virtual library the researcher stressed the need to enter the Iraqi universities, especially the University of Baghdad into the World classification of virtual libraries, noting that the university is one of the largest and oldest universities of Iraq and thousands of researches and scientific achievements, published in scientific journals as well as theses and dissertations of postgraduate students are available now, which is considered a scientific wealth that did not highlight internationally.

    The aim of this symposium is to relate University of Baghdad and later the Iraqi universities with the publishing houses and global databases to take a role in the international rankings of the international universities and let the world recognize these researches, on the other hand, Iraqi universities will be participated with databases and international publishing houses to enable the Iraqi researchers access the latest published researches internationally.
