The Issue of a New Edition of Academy Magazine – Fine Works of Art and Unlimited Potential

Magazine of Academy is a masterpiece in all meanings of creativity and intellectual, cultural, humanitarian communication. Its recent edition 60, included the topics of great importance in art, criticism, and world-class academic studies in all fields of art such as music, calligraphy and decoration, cinema, theater, drawing and sculpture and art education. This edition contained the research of “expressive capability in the severity of the sculptures for Quarghuli”, for the researcher Samer Jasim – University of Technology, and also a research of “the implications of color in the formal Iraqi contemporary ceramic sculpture, “Saad Shaker as a model” for Prof. Dr. Saad Ali Yousif and Ahmed Shams, and the research ” semiotic analysis of selected examples of modern sculpture ” for Dr. Mamoun Salman Faris.

And the research of ” the engineering changes of modern painting in the form of the assistant teacher Khadija Naji Ajil as well as research on “formal semantics of the Arab-Islamic art in the modern European painting” for Dr. Ayad Abdul-Rahman and assistant teacher Mahmoud Hussein Abdul-Rahman. Another research is” references of coding of the represented body in the theatrical discourse, for Dr.Rasil Kazim Ouda, and the research” the directorial treatment for the duality-love and hate in the play show ” Mosul as a model” for the teacher Abbas Ali Abdul Ghani – University of Mosul. Also the magazine included “interpretation of techniques in the play show “Fadel Khalil as a model” for Assistant Professor, Dr. Mohamed Abdul-Rahman al-Jubouri. The research of “the properties of techniques of gilding in the written accomplishment for the teacher Hashim Khadir Hassan al-Husseini, and “the reality of Iraqi cinema after change” historical and analytical extrapolation” for Dr. Ammar Hadi al-Aradi. And the research “directorial methods phenotypic of the product and its role in the process of attraction and tension, for assistant teacher Mahmoud Salah Nouri and Jassim Ahmed Zeidan. Also this issue came to consider under the title of the concept of mutual building relationship in the design of the advertisement of the teacher, Dr. Naim Hassan Abbas.

Editor of the website visited the headquarters of the magazine in the college of Fine Arts and met the editor, Dr. Saad al-Basri, and also met members of the editorial board and advisory body, and looked at the nature of the work of this magazine and the continued scientific work in it , and picked up a set of photographs for the magazine and members of bodies of editorial and advisory .

Dr. Roudhan Bahia, who is one of the top three calligraphers in the world exclusively, told the website that the magazine had scientific committees conducting important processes to develop the work of the magazine through careful examination and evaluation of the published researches in the magazine and the emphasis on the availability of all the conditions for the magazine.

We seek in all seriousness and to follow the scientific method and rational development of the work of the magazine through the published scientific research by stages in order to develop in terms of Arabic and to be corrected, or through experts to focus on the scientific accuracy and availability of all.

In addition to this edition of the magazine a supplement issued with the magazine, which included a range of news, events and activities for teachers and students of the college of Fine Arts.

And foremost the holding of Department of Fine Arts annual exhibitions at the Hall of the permanent exhibition, which included the annual exhibition graphics for fourth grade for the morning and evening studies under the supervision of Dr. Blasm and. Muhammad and assistant teacher Elham Subhi, the exhibition has included outstanding printing technology and the cavernous, wood and aluminum, zinc, the graphics exhibition for the third grade of the evening study, under the supervision of assistant teacher Elham Subhi.

And planning exhibition for the different classes under the supervision of Dr. Ayad Abdul-Rahman, NidhalAfrawi, Khaled Haidar, Nazim Hamid,. Raed Abd al-Amir, Basim Allawi, Elham Subhi, Saba Yousif. The charts exhibition and visual rhetoric of the first grade of the morning and evening studies, under the supervision of Dr. Hudham Bader, Elham Subhi, Raed Abd al-Amir, the second personal exhibition of teacher Salam Adoor Loess.

The supplement is also focused on a television workshop, where during ten days, the college of Fine Arts/ Department of film and television and in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports – Department of Culture and Arts, has established a technical workshop for television production to associate ministry in Baghdad and its provinces as the number of participants fiftieth trainees, included workshop, theoretical and practical lessons by Arts professors of the Department of film and television (output, photography, scenario, script and editing, and performance ) and the workshop ended with a closing ceremony included a display of the projects of the participants in the workshop for two short films, which were completed during the workshop and the two films are : “Al-Hizam Alkatm “or “Silent Belt” and “Darja wadhifiya” or “the occupational degree”) and the ceremony ended by distributing the gifts to the participants by the professors of the department.

It is worth mentioning that this is the second time to hold such a workshop with the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Also the supplement included good news about the processing of building an integrated television studio, in an exclusive statement to the Academy magazine, Dr. Kareem Sudany Director General of the Iraqi Media Network said that the network and under the principle of supplying scientific institutions and to serve the country provided the network modern Japanese origin (Sony) equipments and devices and an integrated studio to be built in the old circular theater in the building of Department of film and television Arts, under the supervision of the network engineers themselves led by Emad Abdul Aziz, Deputy General- Director of the network so as to ensure accuracy in the monument, installation and sound insulation.

Furthermore ,the supplement included photos and a story about honoring the deans of the college of Fine Arts, where the college celebrated the deans who followed the management of the college during an honoring ceremony attended by the deans and the majority of teachers in the college with a large crowd of students, this honorable initiative is considered the first of its kind held by the College to celebrate the top of the college deans, and the deans are “Asaad Abdul Razak, Dr. Abdul Mursal Al- Zaidi, Dr. Khalil Fadel, and Dr. Nassif al-Dulaimi”
