Prof. Dr. Taghreed Al-Haidari, a teacher in the branch of obstetrics and gynecology at the Al-Kindi College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad, received an honorary fellowship from the British Royal College in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Al-Haidari is also the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Students and works as a consultant at Al-Alawi Teaching Hospital for Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Al-Haidari is considered one of the pillars of obstetrics and gynecology in Iraq, in addition to being the president of the Iraqi Obstetrics Association and a member of the administrative board of the Association of Arab Societies for Obstetrics and Gynecology.
This honor is given to doctors who have a distinguished role in their countries in shaping health system policy and improving services provided in the field of maternal and child health, and this honorary fellowship was last awarded to a doctor in Iraq about 30 years ago.
Al-Haidari is an Arab board-certified in the field of obstetrics and gynecology and is a pioneer in the field of maternal and reproductive health in Iraq, where she was previously honored with the International Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology Award in 2018 for her exceptional efforts and research contributions in the field of maternal and child health.
