A symposium entitled Women in the International Law held in College of Science for Women

   College of Science for Women organized and   a social symposium entitled (women in the   international law) sponsored by Dean Prof. Dr. Nada Majid Ansari. The symposium had three axes. The first was on “Combating Discrimination aspects against Women,” in which Mr. Abdel Rahman chaired the session and expressed the details of the international law, which passed in (1979), containing the thirtieth article of the General Assembly of the United Nations. The second was on “The role of women in education to serve the community”, and in which Mr. Salah Khairy chaired the session presenting “The Role of the United Nations and the international laws supporting woman in her right in education and the creation of high-cultural climates throughout the societies. The third and last, which bore the title “Support of the UN for the family  Program ” where  Mr. Wissam  Khalil chaired the session, stressing the sanctity of marriage and its importance in building healthy  family. The scientific symposium opened the door to dialogue and discussion between the students and college staff members and lecturers focused on the potential autonomy of the college students in dealing with cultural matters and the formulation of questions and the ability to deduct the solutions for maintaining the continuity of culture among students morally and educationally. On her part, Dean of the College of Science for Women said, “that the organization of such symposium leads to renew and revitalize thoughts in general,” and interact  and exploit them in the outer world  them and serve Iraqi society positively .
