The central environmental Laboratory in the college of sciences at the university of Baghdad, in collaboration with the association named ” together to protect man and environment ” which is one of the organizations of the civil society, launched their new program for preparing climate leaders in Iraq in its the first session entitled: ” the safety of the environment is the basis for the development of peoples “. The start of this session came from the belief of the university of the importance of teamwork, real management, right decision-making and seeking to guide the community members towards safety through this program. The Dean of the college of sciences, prof. Dr. Salih Mahdi Ali commented on this scientific demonstration saying: ” the program of leaders isn’t less than the previous one that was carried out by the environmental laboratory entitled ” the environment’ ambassadors in Iraq ” which the number of its trainees reached to 450 ambassadors, men and women. The program ( the leaders of the climate ) is targeted towards anyone who has the desire to achieve a healthy environment for future generations to make them the first seed to spread the culture of the environmental protection , which is considered as a responsibility of everyone. The course which came as a result of what the world, the Middle East and Iraq witnessing of climate changes, one of its causes was man himself, and from the environmental laboratory’s eagerness to take the responsibility by everyone of reducing the climate changes by scientific methods that can be followed to resist these changes. This course came in collaboration with one of the institutions of the civil society, which has always been the first in such initiatives serving the Iraqi environment. The training session addressed a set of skills, scientific vocabulary and data that enriched the participants for three days and were submitted by Dr. Moataz Abdel Sattar Dabbas, director of the central environmental labratory and an expert and an engineer, Saadia Filaih Hassoun, chair of the association named” together to protect man and environment “, also the international coach Ali Abdul Rida shakara, the decision – maker of the environmental forum.
