College of Engineering – AlKhawarzmi participates in the Annual Musical Festival
The college of Engineering – AlKhawarzmi participated in the university’s annual musical festival which the Directorate of sport and art activities at the University of Baghdad held as part of the annual curriculum at the Hall of Nazik Al-Malaika at the college of Engineering on Tuesday, 6/3/2012.Mr. Assistant of the president of the University of Academic Affairs, Dr. Riyadh Aziz Hadi, Dr.Canaan Ghadhban manager of artistic activities in the Directorate of sport and art activities, and a large number of professors and lecturers from various colleges , institutes and centers, of the University of Baghdad, as well as officials of the units of art activities for the formations of the university and a number of officials of art and music branches and academics and a large crowd of students attended the festival . A number of colleges of the University of Baghdad participated in the festival , and the participation of the college of Engineering Alkhawarzmi under the supervision of the manager of the art activity unit and the unit of media and information technology in the college.
Two students participated : Maa’thir Safa Hussein / Department of Mechatronics – third stage and Roo’a Ahmed Thijeel / Department of Medicine of life Engineering – second stage. The festival has opened with the performance of Maa’thir where she had made a wonderful musical show included national songs, followed by her fellow student Roo’a who played on the guitar.
The artistic activities of the college have won great admiration and evaluation of the audience. The audience praised the efforts made in the organization and direction of the festival.
