   The Dean of the college of Engineering: Prof. Qasim Muhammed Doss, the Head of the Computer Engineering Department: Ass .Prof. Hamid Muhammed Ali, and the Coordinator of the Computer Engineering Department: Senior Lecturer Dr. Mohammed I. Younis express their sincere gratitude and appreciations to Prof. Dr. David Patterson, who is a famous author of books in computer architecture, for a recent donation of a copy of his book to the Department of Computer Engineering at our college on request of Dr. Mohammed I. Younis (the lecturer of Computer Architecture II subject). In addition, the 3rd year Computer Engineering students were so grateful to Prof. Patterson and they expressed their joy with the arrival of this book in order to develop the curriculum and keep them up to date with respect to the great revolution in computer engineering. In addition, the dean thanked the head of Computer Engineering Department for urging lecturers to develop curricula in the meetings of the board of the department. The dean also thanked Dr. Mohammed I. Younis for his insistence on this approach and his contact with the sources of knowledge and experts, as well as engaging students in thanking the donating professor, which bridges the educational gap between professor and student leading to the enhancement of the quality of education.
