President of University of Baghdad directed for acceleration of E-governance project
President of University of Baghdad, Prof. Alaa Abdul Hussein Abdul Rasool held a meeting in the presence of his assistant for administrative affairs, Prof. Riadh Khalil khammas, a number of department managers, professors and staff at Computer Center for discussing the electronic governance project of our university and other related matters. During the meeting, the rector stressed the need to exert all efforts and provide immediate requirements to develop this project, noting that it was launched by self-efforts as a result of development in countries around the world that have preceded us in this area. This program is made with a great precision for giving and saving information to save time and effort in all administrative transactions. He added that this project is implemented for the first time at University of Baghdad and in Iraqi universities to manage the matters related to employees, students and professors electronically. The first phase has been completed fully by establishing a database center and servers that will link all the university formations together.
