Selection of a research from the university of Baghdad within 30 global published researches in the field of the environment

  A published research by a Ph.D student from Anna university, Mohammed Abbas Fayadh, an instructor in the college of education for pure sciences – Ibn al-Haytham, university of Baghdad, was selected to be in the list of the latest thirty global published researches on environment. This came following his scholarship granted by India to Iraq through the (Indian Council Cultural Relation – ICCR). Journal of “Environmental Technology” that has the impact factor (1.197) and issued by “Taylor Francis Group”, U.K ,has published this research, which is classified among “ISI Journals World-Journal of Institute” of a high impact factor of highly cited researchers. Also this research won the 15th rank according to the “Organization of Arab scientific community – forum of Arab scientists, doctors and engineers” by representing Iraq in this important scientific forum. The research discusses (MDC) cell as a bio-electrochemical system in micro-fuel cells and other devices of multiple uses to produce green energy from organic waste as well as desalination of saline water. MDC micro cell showed a better function in terms of removing energy production, demand of chemical oxygen and saline water desalination as an additional feature that contributes in applying this integrated cell for that can be decomposed from waste engine oil.
