Faculty of education (Ibn al-Haitham) discusses the nature of science for chemistry teachers and its relation to scientific culture


Department of educational and psychological sciences at the faculty of education for pure sciences (Ibn al-Haitham) at University of Baghdad discussed a thesis entitled (Understanding the nature of science for chemistry teachers on the basis of the reform document (AAAS) and its relationship to the conceptual and procedural scientific culture of their students) submitted by the researcher Nisreen Abdul kadir Ahmed al-Malaki. The study aims to detect the understanding of the nature of science for chemistry teachers according to the educational reform document (AAAS) and the correlation between understanding the nature of science for chemistry teachers and their students. The results showed a weakness in this trait where the rate of acquisition among chemistry teachers was (40%) as well as it showed that a weakness among students in conceptual and procedural scientific culture.
