A researcher from the university of Baghdad gets a new patent in dentistry and dedicates this invention to the university


Dr. Athraa Yahya Mohamed, an instructor in the department of oral diagnosis at the college of dentistry, university of Baghdad got a patent entitled “acceleration of osseous accomplishment of transplantation by the use of Abante hydroxide extracted from fish bones” numbered (4247) in June 2015, issued by the central organization for standardization and quality control. The benefit and importance of this patent comes from the fact that this extracted material were wasted while it has high standard specifications used in a simple and a cheap way for painting (implant) and speeding up the osseous accomplishment process faster that costs large amounts of foreign currency for the the Iraqi economy when purchase from outside Iraq. It is worth mentioned that prof. Dr. Virgin Yahya Mohamed had worked with a scientific team and has donated it to the benefit of the university of Baghdad, which conveys its property legally to the university of Baghdad.
