Ph.D student from the university of Baghdad gains the second place through his participation in a research symposium at the university of Manchester

Since the university of Baghdad is known for its scientific originality and its efficient instructors and students, today it gains the second place in the race of the research projects through the participation of a ph.d student (Ziyad Tareq Ahmed) from the college of engineering who submitted his research entitled (preparation and study of the properties of nano porous zeolite and silica backed with minerals as co-factors for the production of bio fuel). He gained the second place in the scientific symposium organized by the British university of Manchester for students’ research projects. This distinguished research shed highlights on how to manufacture various kinds of co-factors as nano porous zeolite from available sources such as oil shale, as well as the manufacture of co-factors depending on silica as an essential source like M C M 48 and A S B 15. The research focused on the development of co-factors like nickel, cobalt, platinum, palladium and others by the adoption of saturation technology and its use in esterification interactions to produce diesel.
