Abstract
The optical switch of liquid crystal type 5CB, is one of essential elements to construct the liquid crystal display screens. The operation power of display screen is saved to less than 1 volt and make the response time faster. To achieve this we fabricated an optoelectronic cell consists of two ITO coated glass substrate, the ITO layers is the inner layer that polymer PVA deposited on it, then micro-dimensions grooves has been made on the polymer layer, these two ITO slides matched together and liquid crystal injected between them to reset in the grooves. Also we found that doping the liquid crystal with rod like shape lead to save operation power.
