The department of electronic engineering & communication at the college of engineering held a workshop on fiber-optic communication systems for the fourth grade students under the supervision of Dr. Hussam Abdul Daem Mohammed. During this event, the students forwarded their presentations on the modern trends in optical fiber communication which is a method of transmitting information from one place to another by sending pulses of infrared light and by which we can transmit voice, video through local area networks or across long distances.
