The department of astronomy and space in collaboration with Ibn Sina Center for E-Learning organized an online lecture on “Debris disk around stars” with the participation of a number of professors & researchers interested in this regard.

The lecture was delivered by Dr. Anas Salman Taha with the aim to identify the developments taken place in the last two decades as a result of the tremendous and significant developments in high-quality digital cameras as well as the manufacture of space and ground telescopes, namely giant optical telescopes with a diameter of 8 and 10 meters placed in high and remote areas of the Canary Islands and the Mountains of Chile.

The lecture, which was transmitted the Shuttle Mate app to introduce the devices used in the manufacture of such telescopes which led to amazing and great discoveries in astronomy, i.e,  the debris disks where he provided information on the components of the shattered discs in the solar system.
