The Elections of the Administrative Board of the Association of Genetic and Environmental Resources Maintenance at the University of Baghdad

  Sponsored by and under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research ,the Heritage Revival Center / University of Baghdad held a general election of the Association of genetic and environmental resources maintenance / scientific assocaitions / Research & Developmenat department / Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.Both representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Mohsen Hashem, manager of coordination and relations in the Research & Development department and Mr. Mohammed Hassan Kadhim the official of the scientific associations Division attended the elections .

  The results of the elections were that Dr Firas Abd Ali Obeidi was elected chairman of the Association , Dr. Shahrzad Mohammad Vice President of the Association, Dr. Ahmed Abdul Hussein secretary of Association and membership of Dr. Jamal Khalafhave reached , Dr. Afaf Saleh ,Dr. Dhafer Abd Ali and Dr. Ashraf ,in addition to two spare members .

  Dr. Mohsen Hashem representative of the ministry stated that the registered scientific associations in the ministry have reached 110 Associations in various disciplines of engineering ,medical, agricultural and pure sciences, involving these associations within the scientific associations law No. 55 of 1981 as amended and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has the responsibility of supervising these associations.It is worth mentioning that the first association established was health electoral and Iraqi family planning association in 1975, in addition to a large number of associations and Iraq is one of the early founders of scientific assocaitions that is concerned with pushing the scientific movement and stimulate scientific research in the universities.
