A delegation from the Red Cross visited the college of law at the University of Baghdad to discuss prospects for scientific cooperation and was received by the Associate Dean for scientific affairs, Prof. Hadi Naeem al-Maliki.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed matters related to the development of international humanitarian law, including the activation of participation in the ICRC’s moot court and submit proposals on important and distinct topics in international humanitarian law and the possibility of opening near-constant channels of communication between the Iraqi universities and ICRC.

This meeting was attended by the head of the department of international law, Dr. Hussam Abdul Amir and the member of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Assist. Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Khalil Jafar and other representatives.
