Prof. Dr. Siham Abdul Majid, a professor from the department of Turkish language at the University of Baghdad was chosen as a member of the scientific committee of the 14th International Conference held in Baku, Azerbaijan and as a lecturer where she has delivered a research paper entitled “Family popular proverbs of the Turkmen of Iraq”.
This research dealt with a selection of popular examples of Turkish proverbs classified according to alphabetical order which are commonly used by the Turkmen in Iraq, the occasions in which they were said and their equivalents in the Turkish language through a comparative analysis.
