College of arts participates in international conferences on humanities, nonviolence, extremism and terrorism

 

The department of sociology at the college of arts participated in the international conference with the aim to renounce violence, extremism and terrorism in all its religious, political and social dimensions and to promote human security held at Sakarya University in Turkey.

Assist. Prof. Majida Shaker Mahdi presented a research paper entitled (The effects of terrorism, extremism, violence and conflicts on human security and their repercussions on political and social life) while Dr. Amal Sabah Hassan Kazem al-Zubaidi participated in the second international scientific conference on humanities sponsored by Bapir University with a paper on (Rural women between formal and non-formal education in Iraq). Also Dr. Wasan Muhsen Hassan presented a research on (Human security in Iraq between reality and ambition: a field study of Baghdad).
