Abstract

The objective of this patent is the experimental application of prevention and treatment of bovine mastitis by the biofilm extract from Staphylococcus aureus and acidocin extracted from Lactobacillus cidophilus experimentally by using lactating female mice as laboratory animal model. he results showed that most S.aureus isolates 94% were produced biofilm with different in its thickness and the high thickness biofilm was more resistant toward twelve antibiotic disc used in this study. The results also appeared the influence of biofilm extracted from one selected isolate of S.aureus that gave high resistance to antibiotics and producing 3 mm thickness of biofilm with different protein concentration toward groups of feeding mice infected in mammary gland and over lapping treated with different concentration of pure acidocin extract, in addition the most important result showed excellent treated of the infected mammary gland of mice with S.aureus by pure acidocin combination with biofilm extract by different concentration. Results of histopathological examination showed excellent treatment for mammary gland, liver and spleen treated with biofilm or acidocin alone or together, scanning electron microscope showed the effect of acidocin on the cell of Staphylococcus aureus.
