To get a high efficiency for plow performance we should know the tillage depth accurately, because it effects directly on the tensile strength of the plow and then fuel consumption, so it is very important to know the degree of regularity of the tillage depth. As a result a mechanical device was manufactured by both Dr. Abdul Rahman Ayoub Al-Sabbag (Professor) and Dr. Naseer Salman Kazim (lecturer), in which it’s connected to the plow body and this can be a measure method of the tillage depth at any point required in the field. A patent was given, by the number of 3383, name of (A mechanical measuring device of the tillage depth) on 15/3/2012
