Baghdad University Council resolutions – 2nd session

1. Scientific promotions:

 

The council considered a note by the Central Committee of scientific promotions at springside with 115 dated 17/9/2015 Scientific Committee’s recommendation, contained in its 19, 20 and 21th sessions, held on 19 and 26/5, 2/6/2015, on upgrading the lecturers listed below to the professorship, completing the scientific upgrade requirements in terms of originality in their research and University Service as well as the note above with 114 dated 14/ 09/2015 on League Council resolution adopted by the seventeenth meeting held on 1/6/2015 about upgrading Dr. Farhan Auda Rabie/College of veterinary medicine (why this was returned to the Central Committee of scientific promotions returned to be sent to the college for a long period of time causing delay of upgrading), where the commission stated that the college of veterinary medicine sent a book number 1362 of 12/7/2015 that demonstrates the causes of delay:

After discussion, the council adopted the resolution:

 

1. Approve the upgrade of those listed above to professorship according to the effective dates for completing upgrade requirements in terms of originality in their research and service life at the university provided that this would not include any financial implications before its adoption.

 

2. Congratulating those listed above for receiving the title of professorship.

3. Central scientific committee of promotions at the university would provide the name of Dr. Hussein Dakhil Zuwaihi/college of education for humanities-Ibn Rushd to be sent to the department of media and public relations at the university for the purpose of publication and highlight this promotion in university publications for providing sober researches distinguished with originality.

2. Extending postgraduate admission plan for the academic year (2015-2016):

The council discussed the book of the ministry of higher education and scientific research/research and Development Department, No. b t 5/7348 of 1/10/2015 containing the minister’s approval obtained on 29/9/2015 universities considering expanding postgraduate admission plan for this year for all the channels, so after the debate, the council adopted the resolution:

 

Resolution

Consent to expand postgraduate admission plan for all colleges for one additional seat for the general admission and one seat for the private channel according to the competitive sequence of the candidates as well as increasing supervision frame to one only.

3. Determination of the date of University student graduation/second phase:

The council considered a note issued by Student Affairs and Confirmation Department, No. u/FS/9530 dated 14/9/2015 including the consent to view the subject of determining the date of our students graduation/second phase for the academic year (2014-2015), the session entitled “with our unity, we defeat terrorism and build home”, so the above department suggested that the date for graduation would be on Wednesday, 30/9/2015.

 

Resolution

Consent to adopt that on Wednesday 30/9/2015 our college students would be graduated/second phase for the academic year (2014-2015).
