The Department of Mathematics, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, University of Baghdad, organized a workshop titled “Teaching Discrete Mathematics Concepts Using Mathematica”, attended by faculty members and students of the department.
The workshop focused on how to use Mathematica software to simplify and enhance the understanding of discrete mathematics concepts.
It also presented practical examples on topics such as sets, relations, functions, combinations, graphs, and algorithms. Emphasis was placed on enabling both students and instructors to benefit from Mathematica’s interactive capabilities in generating visualizations and digital experiments that deepen comprehension and make learning more enjoyable.
This activity contributes to achieving one of the Sustainable Development Goals—Goal 4—which advocates for quality education.
