The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Baghdad has achieved a notable academic milestone through its active participation in the international conference addressing Artificial Intelligence Systems, Blockchain, and Communication Technology. Faculty members from the college contributed 16 scientific research papers, all of which were published in the global Scopus-indexed database through the German publishing house Springer, reflecting the college’s high academic standards and growing focus on integrating modern technologies into various knowledge domains.

The research contributions from the college’s scholars covered a wide range of contemporary and critical topics, including: The impact of artificial intelligence tools on the advancement of scientific research, the application of AI technologies in teaching Arabic and English,the role of artificial intelligence in disaster management and in addressing religious issues, Jurisprudential perspectives on the use of AI in medical fields, Historical text analysis using artificial intelligence, And the promotion of societal values through technology.

The conference was supported and sponsored by several prestigious universities and institutions, including the University of Michigan (USA), the University of Nottingham (UK), King Salman University, and the German publisher Springer. This strong backing lent the event a distinguished academic character and helped enhance the international visibility of its participants.

This scientific achievement adds to the College of Islamic Sciences’ growing portfolio of academic success and underscores its vital role in keeping pace with scientific advancements and applying technology to the service of the humanities and social sciences. Moreover, it strengthens the University of Baghdad’s standing on the global academic map and opens new pathways for international collaboration and knowledge exchange.

This achievement directly supports two of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Goal 4: Quality Education, by fostering the development of faculty members’ skills in scientific research and publication, Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by promoting academic activities that align with the university’s strategy to implement the SDGs.
