The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, accompanied by the President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Baha Ibrahim Insaf, visited the College of Science for Women. The delegation was received by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Samira Naji Kazim, along with the assistant deans, several department heads, faculty members, and staff.
The visit included a tour of various departments of the college, where the delegation reviewed the latest projects and ongoing scientific research. They also visited the new building of the college, which features modern laboratories and advanced university facilities that adhere to global standards in higher education.
During the tour, the Minister expressed his admiration for the academic and scientific standards of the college, praising the efforts of the teaching and administrative staff in improving the university environment and providing outstanding educational services to female students. He emphasized the importance of creating an educational atmosphere that encourages scientific research and innovation.
The President of the University of Baghdad underscored the importance of such visits in fostering communication between the ministry and academic institutions, stressing the need to support colleges in achieving further advancements across various specializations.
The Dean of the College expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the Minister and the President of the University for their continuous support. She affirmed that this visit represents an opportunity to showcase academic and scientific achievements and identify the college’s need to develop a better educational environment.
During discussions, attendees explored ways to enhance the educational process, reaffirming their commitment to realizing the ministry’s vision for improving the quality of higher education and elevating the standing of Iraqi universities on regional and international levels.
