The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Baghdad participated in the activities of the Third National Conference, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, under the slogan “School Dropout: National Challenges and Future Solutions.” Dr. Mayson Ward Salman and Assistant Lecturer Haneen Abdullah presented a joint research paper titled “School Policies and Preventive Program Strategies to Reduce the Phenomenon of School Dropout.”

The research garnered significant attention from participants and attendees, as it addressed the issue of school dropout from various perspectives. It provided a comprehensive analysis of the causes of this phenomenon and its negative impacts on society. Furthermore, the research outlined a set of policies and strategies that schools could adopt to reduce dropout rates and enhance an attractive educational environment for students.

The study was distinguished by its depth and comprehensiveness, relying on recent scientific studies and research, and offering practical recommendations that can be implemented in schools. The participants praised the research, considering it a valuable contribution to the conference and an effective effort in combating school dropouts.

This participation aligns with one of the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 17, which advocates for partnerships to achieve the objectives.
