The Department of Journalism at the College of Media, University of Baghdad, organized a scientific seminar titled “Media Research Methodologies in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Reality and the Necessity for Updates.” The seminar was presented by a group of researchers and attended by postgraduate students.
The seminar aimed to shed light on the necessity of updating media research methodologies to keep pace with rapid technological advancements, particularly artificial intelligence techniques, which have become a fundamental component of digital media.
Professor Dr. Saad Kazem discussed “The Utilization of Artificial Intelligence Tools in Media Scientific Research,” while PhD candidate Samir Abdul Amir Mousa examined “Scientific Research Methodologies for Media Research in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Ethical Challenges and Associated Transformations.” Additionally, researcher Mustafa Fares Ali highlighted “Modern Theories in Media and Communication Research: The Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology as a Model.”
Participants in the seminar called for “developing research tools and methodologies to address the challenges posed by artificial intelligence on traditional and digital media and strengthening researchers’ capabilities to analyze modern media phenomena using precise scientific foundations.”
This seminar aligns with one of the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 4, which advocates for quality education.
