The Central Library Division at the College of Education Ibn Rushd for Human Sciences at the University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Department of Quranic Sciences, held a symposium entitled (Electronic archiving system for books, letters, and theses through the koha system) in which the assistant teacher Kazem Waheed Nehme, the assistant teacher Ahmed Shehab Ahmed, and the assistant teacher Omar Ali Kazim lectured.

The symposium aimed to introduce the KOHA system and how to manage digital libraries efficiently by organizing books, theses, and theses in a modern electronic way, as well as how to quickly access information through advanced research, easy retrieval of sources, and preservation of academic and scientific resources safely and sustainably to achieve integration with international library systems in order to ensure the exchange of data and resources, in addition to how to facilitate indexing and classification operations in line with international library standards.

The seminar came out with a number of recommendations, the most prominent of which is the need to generalize the use of the (Koha) system in academic libraries to ensure easy access to information, in addition to holding periodic training courses for library workers on how to use the system with high efficiency, as well as the need to update data and sources regularly to ensure the accuracy of indexing and optimal accessibility.

In conclusion, he opened the door for discussion and dialogue with the attendees, expressing a strong desire to repeat such seminars and workshops because of their positive impact on upgrading knowledge, specifically for such new topics.

This symposium achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth goal, which calls for quality education.
