The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra hosted the meeting of the Committee of Deans of the Colleges of Physical Education and Sports Sciences in Iraq on the sidelines of the Eighth International Scientific Conference on Sports Sciences held at the University of Basra – College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. (Sabah Qasim Khalaf), Chairman of the Deans Committee, Vice Chairman of the Committee, Prof. Dr. (Ahmed Hamid Al-Suwaidi), and the Rapporteur of the Committee, Prof. Dr. (Osama Ahmed Hussein), and the presence of the deans of the faculties of physical education and sports sciences and their departments in Iraqi universities.
The files of the agenda were discussed, including the development requests for colleges and departments, as well as the curricula of the faculties of physical education and sports sciences and the extent to which they can be unified, as well as discussing the timings of the conferences and developing a mechanism for holding them in a way that does not conflict with the university calendar to reach the best scientific results to serve the educational process and the researchers participating in it.
This activity achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the seventeenth goal, which calls for partnership in order to achieve the goals.
