Within the framework of strengthening educational relations between Iraqi and Turkish academic institutions, the Dean of the College of Languages, Prof. Dr. Ali Adnan Mashoush, received a delegation from the Turkish YTB Foundation, in the presence of the Head of the Turkish Language Department, Prof. Dr. Necdet Yasher Murad.
The visit included discussing the mechanisms of providing scholarships for students of the College of Languages wishing to complete their studies in Turkish universities, with the allocation of seats for the first three students in the Turkish Language Department, as well as enhancing scientific cooperation by establishing development courses for students and professors in Turkey and providing the department’s library with modern books.
During a tour of the college’s corridors, the delegation praised the reconstruction campaign for infrastructure adopted by the deanship of the college and its importance in providing a distinguished academic atmosphere.
YTB is a Turkish government institution responsible for managing scholarship programs for international students, which offers the Turkish Scholarship Program that aims to provide educational opportunities in Turkish universities for outstanding students from all over the world.
The Deanship of the College of Languages is keen to achieve the goals of sustainable development by opening new horizons for scientific and cultural cooperation with the Turkish side and creating new opportunities for inclusive quality education, which helps students find decent work that contributes to the economic growth of Iraq.
This visit achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth and ninth goals, which call for quality education as well as industry, innovation, and infrastructure.
