The College of Administration and Economics, Department of Audit and Internal Control at the Presidency of the University of Baghdad, in coordination with the Government Contracts Division, organized a workshop on the electronic platform for purchase orders mechanism of work within the university’s efforts to introduce the concept of transparency and develop administrative and financial systems using modern technology.
The workshop witnessed a detailed review of how to use the platform and simplify the work procedures of the procurement committees for the formations electronically through the unified electronic platform for announcements and tenders, which contributes to enhancing operational efficiency, reducing administrative errors, ensuring transparency in dealing as well as speed in completion, as well as a practical explanation of how to register and track applications electronically, in addition to discussing potential challenges and ways to improve the platform’s performance to ensure speed of response and accuracy of implementation.
At the end of the workshop, the attendees’ inquiries were answered, stressing the importance of benefiting from this technology in facilitating administrative work and enhancing the role of audit and internal control to ensure compliance with the applicable regulations and instructions.
A number of directors of finance, auditing, and government contracts with members of the administrative, financial, and control departments in the formations of the parent university attended it.
This workshop achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the sixteenth goal, which calls for peace, justice and strong institutions.
