The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women, University of Baghdad, held a training course entitled (How to Publish Scientific Research for Teachers in the Digital Repository and Linking the Digital Repository to the Indico System), in which the two lecturers in the theoretical sciences branch, Eng. Enaam Ghalib and M.M. Nibal Ahmed,

The aim is to teach how to link academic activities to the Indico system to document scientific conferences, workshops and seminars. The two lecturers explained the concept of digital repositories, which are electronic systems designed to save, manage, organize and make available academic and research content, such as scientific research, university theses and published articles, which allows open access to knowledge and its exchange, and its importance lies in preserving scientific production in an organized manner, promoting open access to knowledge and research, supporting university ranking, facilitating research and retrieval, protecting intellectual property rights.

The course concluded with a set of recommendations, the most important of which is to ensure the accuracy of the data entered in the digital repository and Indeco to ensure the correct integration between the two systems, encourage lecturers to activate open access to their research to enhance the rate of scientific citation and increase academic spread.

This course achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth goal, which calls for quality education.
