He also highlighted the necessity of regular meetings to stay aligned with global advancements and ensure ongoing faculty performance evaluations.

The celebration aimed to underscore the significance of national programmatic standards in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of physical education and sports science programs in Iraq. It encouraged educational institutions to adopt and integrate these standards into their academic curricula.

A key feature of the event was an in-depth presentation on the strategic planning of the program, which comprises six academic standards aligned with international benchmarks while considering Iraq’s local educational and professional environment. These standards serve as a strategic tool and a fundamental pillar for academic excellence.

The national programmatic standards act as a foundational reference for educational institutions in designing and implementing physical education and sports science programs. They establish minimum requirements to ensure program quality and relevance to labor market demands.

This initiative supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, reinforcing the role of academic institutions in fostering sustainable and high-quality educational practices.
