The Higher Institute of Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad organized a workshop titled “Professional Writing for Accountants: Reports, Emails, and Proposals.” The workshop was conducted by Assist.Prof.Dr. Dhefaf Ibraheem Ali, a faculty member at the institute, under the supervision of the institute’s Dean, Certified Public Accountant, Assist.Prof.Dr. Ali Mohammed Thijil Al-Maamouri. The event was attended by students from the Department of Accounting Studies at the institute.

The workshop highlighted how to empower participants to write professional emails, reports, and proposals with clarity and professionalism, focusing on the requirements of the financial and accounting fields. It also introduced participants to the principles of professional writing in business and accounting environments, developed skills for writing official emails, and taught the proper structure for emails (subject, greeting, content, signature). It emphasized avoiding common mistakes such as informal phrasing, unclear messages, and learning how to write persuasive and effective emails for official requests or inquiries.

The activity concluded that practical training and real-life applications helped participants improve their abilities in analyzing and refining texts, as well as preparing official documents that meet quality standards in the financial and accounting fields.

At the conclusion of the workshop, participants emphasized the importance of applying the skills they had acquired in the workplace and praised the role played by the institute in enhancing professional competence through its specialized training programs.

This initiative contributes to achieving one of the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 4, which calls for quality education.
