The College of Engineering, Department of Chemical Engineering, organized a scientific lecture titled “Implementation Procedures of the Educational Portfolio within the Engineering Education Accreditation Standards Program in Iraq.” The event was held in coordination with the department’s Program Accreditation Committee, aiming to enhance assessment methodologies and achieve the academic and administrative objectives required for engineering accreditation. This initiative contributes to strengthening the department and the college’s reputation at both the national and international levels.

The lecture was delivered by Assist.Prof.Dr. Eman Qasim, Head of the Quality Assurance Division at the College, who provided an in-depth discussion on the implementation of the educational portfolio within the framework of engineering education accreditation standards in Iraq. The session covered the necessary procedures for completing the portfolio, the development of survey forms, and the analysis of examinations to ensure effective assessment. Additionally, the lecture outlined best practices for evaluation methods that facilitate the measurement of students’ academic achievement across various courses.

In conclusion, the lecture emphasized the key components of the course portfolio that support the attainment of essential academic and administrative objectives required for engineering accreditation. This, in turn, enhances academic performance and elevates the department and the college’s standing in the academic community.
