The Department of Physics Sciences, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science for Women, University of Baghdad, organized a workshop entitled (First Aid for Domestic Accidents).

The workshop aimed to shed light on domestic accidents leading to injuries in homes, which require rapid and effective intervention to reduce damage and preserve the life of the injured.

The workshop touched on the most common domestic accidents and the most important ways to deal with them such as burns, wounds, poisoning with spoiled food or chemicals, suffocation as a result of impaction in the airway or toxic gases, injuries to the bones and joints, or fainting as a result of a certain disease, fall or sudden bleeding. Every family member needs to learn the basics of first aid in order to be prepared to deal with any emergency quickly and safely and to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals in maintaining a healthy life.
