The Women’s Affairs Unit at the Urban and Regional Planning Center for Graduate Studies at the University of Baghdad organized a seminar entitled (University Behavior of Female Students), delivered by the official of the Women’s Affairs Unit at the Center, Assistant lecturer Fatima Khalil Ibrahim, to the center’s students.

The seminar aimed to introduce students in general to the rules and ethics of behavior that must be followed by students, in addition to discussing a number of issues and activities for the students of the center, such as active participation in extracurricular activities as they develop capabilities, enhance self-confidence and build an independent entity for women that leads them to leadership.

The seminar emphasized the role of educated and academic women in building educated societies in addition to their family role within the family as wives, mothers, sisters, and daughters, in many Arab societies, and enabled them to lead community initiatives such as education, health, and social care because women play a key role in preserving national identity, as they are the main carriers of culture and customs from one generation to another.

He opened the door for dialogue with graduate students at the center to shed light on their needs and how to overcome family and job problems and obtain their rights at home or work.

This symposium achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth and fifth goals, which call for quality education as well as gender equality.
